The charity, Pharmacist Support, has announced a new partnership with pharmaceutical wholesaler AAH. The collaboration marks the start of a joint commitment to providing a safety net to pharmacy students and professionals nationwide, the two organisations say.
As part of the partnership, AAH is providing funding to be used towards the charity’s services which help pharmacists who are struggling with financial, addiction, mental health, wellbeing and personal and other work-related issues.
Throughout the year, Pharmacist Support and AAH will be working together to raise awareness of the charity’s free and confidential support services and collaborating on key awareness dates to share wellbeing and mental health resources.
Danielle Hunt, chief executive of Pharmacist Support, says: “Championing the wellbeing of our pharmacy family is a collective effort and this partnership will play an important role in raising awareness of our support services for individuals studying and working in pharmacy who are facing a range of challenging circumstances.”
Brian Chambers, chief commercial officer at AAH, adds: “We fully recognise the important and demanding role that pharmacists perform in healthcare. That is why we are pleased to support a charity that champions wellbeing within the profession."
Pharmacy Support says this type of partnership is vital to its sustainability as it provides the charity with stability, securing much needed funds to develop and run its support services.
